Withdrawal policy
Withdrawing your money should be as clear as depositing it. This policy details the available methods, the real processing timescales, the applicable checks and the reasons a withdrawal may be delayed. By requesting a withdrawal you accept the conditions described here, which form part of the Terms of Use.
1. Introduction and acceptance
Your account’s available balance can be withdrawn at any time, with no minimum holding period and no penalties. This policy explains how the process works and what each stage requires. The version published on this page is the current one; each withdrawal request is governed by the policy in force at the moment it is made.
2. Available withdrawal methods
You can withdraw to: UK bank accounts by Faster Payments transfer; Visa and Mastercard debit or credit cards issued in the United Kingdom, where your bank allows it; and your PayPal account. Withdrawals are processed in pounds sterling. If your strategy trades in another currency, the conversion uses the exchange rate at the time of the withdrawal, with the cost shown before you confirm. The per-method detail, with fees and timescales, is on the deposit and withdrawal methods page.
3. Processing timescales
The usual timescales are: within 24 hours for withdrawals by bank transfer and PayPal, and 1 to 5 business days for card withdrawals, whose final credit depends on the issuing bank. Factors that can extend them: additional security or identity checks, compliance reviews on large amounts, operational outages at processors or the bank, and periods of high market demand. Timescales count in business days; weekends and bank holidays do not count.
4. Fees and costs
Thriventage charges no withdrawal fee on any available method. Third-party costs may apply: issuing-bank fees on card withdrawals or currency conversions where applicable. Every known cost is shown in the withdrawal summary before you confirm the request; if a charge was not in that summary, it is not yours to pay, and any discrepancy is claimed through the complaints procedure.
5. Withdrawal limits
The minimum amount per request is £50. The standard daily limit is £12,500 per business day and can be raised by completing additional identity verifications and, where applicable, information on the origin of funds, in line with our KYC/AML policy. Daily operational limits may be temporarily readjusted due to market conditions or maintenance, with notice on the platform.
6. KYC/AML checks
Every withdrawal requires an account with full identity verification: valid photographic ID, proof of address and a liveness check. In addition, withdrawals are monitored in line with the anti-money-laundering policy: amounts unusual for your profile or atypical patterns may trigger an additional check before funds are released. These reviews protect your money and the legality of the platform; they are not an arbitrary obstacle.
7. Reasons for delay or rejection
A withdrawal may be delayed or rejected for: incomplete or incorrect bank details; expired or pending identity verification; discrepancies between the account holder and the withdrawal destination (withdrawals go to the holder’s own name, no exceptions); an active compliance review; documents that do not meet the requirements; or technical or regulatory causes beyond our control. In every case you are told the reason and what is needed to resolve it. Rejecting a request does not cancel your balance: the funds remain in your account until they can be withdrawn correctly.
8. User responsibility
It is your responsibility to check that the destination details are correct before confirming: account number or card, bank or wallet, and the holder’s name exactly as it appears on your identification. A transfer sent to wrong details may be impossible to recover. Also check that your bank account is active and accepts transfers. If you spot an error after confirming, tell us immediately: in the first minutes of a Faster Payments transfer there is still room to act.
9. Cancelling or modifying a request
You can cancel or modify a withdrawal request while its status is “under review”, from your dashboard or by asking your manager. Once the withdrawal moves to “processing” it is already travelling through the banking circuit and cannot be stopped; at that point, the only route is to wait for the credit or, if the details were wrong, to start the claim with your bank. Requests under compliance review cannot be cancelled from the dashboard until the review concludes.
10. Support
To check the status of a withdrawal or report a delay: your personal manager during opening hours, or [email protected] with the subject line “Withdrawal” and your request number. We reply within the first working hour; if the published timescale for the withdrawal has already passed, your case is prioritised that same day.
11. Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in payment methods, regulatory requirements or operating conditions. Changes are published on this page at least fifteen days before taking effect, and significant changes are additionally notified by email to active users. The date of the current version can be seen in the document itself and requested in writing at any time.
